SongNook Terms of Use
Effective August 26, 2026
These are the terms for using SongNook, a songwriting app made by an independent developer, and SongNook Send, its built-in sharing service. They are short because the app is simple: your work lives on your device, and we only touch it when you ask us to deliver it to someone.
By using SongNook, you agree to these terms.
Your work is yours
Everything you create in SongNook — recordings, lyrics, chords, everything — belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it, ever.
When you share files through SongNook Send, you give us the limited permission we need to store those files and deliver them to the people you give the link to. That permission ends when the transfer is deleted (at most 7 days after you create it). It exists for no other purpose — we do not open, use, or license your files.
SongNook Send
Send is a small, free service for handing your own musical work to other people.
- Links expire. Every transfer is deleted 7 days after it is created. Don't use Send as storage or backup — keep your own copies.
- Links are keys. Anyone with the link can download the files. Share links only with people you trust to have them.
- Acceptable use. Upload only content you have the right to share. Don't use Send for anything unlawful, for infringing someone else's rights, for malware, or as a general file host. Send accepts audio files and SongNook packages only.
- We may remove transfers. If a transfer is reported or appears to violate these terms, we may delete it and block further uploads from the source, without notice.
- Report abuse. If a Send link is being used to distribute something unlawful or something that's yours without permission, email bmostudio.dev@gmail.com with the link. We will look at it promptly.
No warranty
SongNook and SongNook Send are provided as is, free of charge, without warranty of any kind. We work hard to make them reliable, but we don't promise the app will be free of bugs, that Send will always be available, or that a transfer will survive until its expiry date. Your recordings live on your device — please keep backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of SongNook or SongNook Send, including lost recordings or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
